Terms of Service & Fair Use Policy
Last updated: 16 June 2026
1. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation
Free — £0/month. 50 sequence-analysis requests and 2 small batch jobs per calendar month. Sequence analysis features only.
Pro — £199/month. Unlimited use of all platform features (sequence analysis, sequence generation, antibody design, humanisation) subject to the Fair Use Policy below.
VANTAGE — bespoke pricing for enterprise engagements. Contact us for terms.
Billing. Pro is billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Prices are in GBP and exclude any applicable taxes.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from Plans & Billing → Manage billing (the Stripe customer portal). Your Pro access continues until the end of the current paid month, after which your tier returns to Free automatically.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, and we do not pro-rate partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, email info@simologics.com and we'll put it right. We never store your card details — payments are handled entirely by Stripe (see our Privacy Policy).
2. Fair Use Policy (Pro)
"Unlimited" on the Pro tier means unlimited for normal interactive research use by a single human user. To prevent abuse, automated scraping, or resale of compute, the following soft caps apply per calendar month per Pro seat. Going over a cap is not an automatic ban — we will reach out first.
Unlimited premium GPU requests (sequence generation, antibody design, humanisation) — fair use applies
10,000 sequence-analysis operations (embed / classify / fill / score) per month
Unlimited batch jobs, each up to 10,000 rows — fair use applies
Concurrent jobs: up to 2 in-flight per seat
One human user per seat. Account sharing or programmatic mass-throughput requires VANTAGE pricing.
These caps are sized so that any reasonable interactive research workflow stays comfortably inside Pro at £199/month. Sustained throughput above the caps will trigger a friendly conversation about VANTAGE or a metered add-on.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the platform to design biological agents intended to harm humans, animals, or the environment.
Reverse-engineer, retrain, or redistribute the underlying models or weights.
Submit data you do not have the right to process, including third-party confidential or regulated material outside the agreement.
Resell access, share credentials, or use a single seat for multiple human users.
4. Data & Confidentiality
Sequences and files you submit are processed in our AWS environment (eu-west-2) for the purpose of fulfilling your request. Job inputs and outputs are retained for 30 days for support and debugging, then purged. We do not use customer sequences to retrain models.
5. Service Availability
GPU-backed Pro features (sequence generation, antibody design, humanisation) run on serverless GPU infrastructure that scales to zero when idle. The first request after a quiet period may take some time to warm up — please allow a few minutes if needed. Subsequent requests are typically served in seconds. We target 99% monthly availability for the Pro tier excluding scheduled maintenance.
6. Changes & Contact
We may update these terms with 30 days' notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

7. Intellectual Property
All platform code, model weights, APIs, and documentation are the intellectual property of SiMologics Ltd. Outputs you generate using the platform (sequences, embeddings, scores) are yours, subject to the conditions below. You grant SiMologics a limited licence to retain outputs for 30 days for support purposes only. You may not use outputs to train competing models or benchmark against SiMologics services without written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
SiMologics provides the platform on an "as-is" basis. We make no warranty that outputs are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular research or clinical purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the subscription fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or speculative damages including loss of data, loss of profit, or regulatory delays.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales unless both parties agree to alternative dispute resolution.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate a subscription at any time. Free-tier accounts may be suspended after 12 months of inactivity. On termination, your data will be purged within 30 days. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that materially breach these terms without prior notice.
11. Privacy & GDPR
We process personal data (name, email, usage logs) in accordance with UK GDPR. Our lawful basis is the performance of a contract (subscription) and legitimate interests (abuse prevention). You may request erasure of your personal data at any time by emailing info@simologics.com. Sequence data is not treated as personal data but is deleted on the same 30-day schedule.
12. Export Controls
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the platform complies with all applicable export control and sanctions laws, including UK, EU, and US regulations. You confirm that the sequences and data you submit are not subject to export-control restrictions that would prohibit processing in our infrastructure.
13. Third-Party Models
SiMologics integrates open-source models including AntiBERTy (Ruffolo et al., 2021), ProGen2-OAS (Nijkamp et al., 2023), IgCraft, and BioPhi Sapiens (Prihoda et al., 2022). Each model is used in accordance with its original licence. Outputs derived from these models may carry additional attribution obligations; consult /model-info for licence details.
14. No Medical or Regulatory Advice
Platform outputs are computational predictions for research use only. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical, clinical, regulatory, or patent advice. You are solely responsible for validation, characterisation, and regulatory compliance of any sequences or candidates generated or analysed using SiMologics.
15. Force Majeure
SiMologics shall not be in breach of these terms due to events outside our reasonable control, including cloud-provider outages, cyberattacks, pandemics, or changes in law. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service and communicate expected timelines.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any Order Form or VANTAGE Statement of Work, constitute the entire agreement between you and SiMologics and supersede all prior communications. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force.
